Another SI gone? SECURITY????

This would be my first post on ClubSi after recently taken the vehicle of a modified 2000 Honda Civic SI. All i hear about the vehicle on this forum is stolen, stripped, etc....
for those of you that have had your Si/Sir/type R stolen, here is the question, what did you do to prevent the theft? Did you have an alarm system, lo jack, removable steering wheel? etc....
How exactly do the removable steering wheels work...can't a theif just buy another steering wheel and bolt it on?

I've heard people say you need an alarm, reroute the trunk/hood release, fuel cut off switch, and perhaps the club or the autolock. Basically if you think you need it or you want to get it it's a good idea. The more security item you throw at a thief the harder you make it for them. However, if they really want it they can always just tow it away. Keeping the car in a garage is another good idea.
