Also when I go to order the wiring harness, it says:

You will need to route the supplied bypass harness from the radio to the amp's location.
A small amplifier must be added to retain the factory subwoofer.

**What does it mean when it says a small amplifier must be added to retain the factory sub???**

I just recently put a new pioneer double din in my 07 civic si, the reason it needs to bypass the amp is because of power issues and feedback noise, if you bypass it all the way though then you will need another amp to power your factory sub. Also i was just able to wire it up without the bypass harness but i was curious to what website you found it at?

Can you post a pic? I was planning on installing a Pioneer AVIC D3 in my 08 Si.

First post thread revival, buy the dash kit from here: College Hills Honda 06-08 Double Din Kit OEM . This is where i got mine from, cant beat OEM color-matching and fitment and with every part needed its about the same as a comparable scosche or metra kit shipped. You can cheaply integrate the factory amp into your aftermarket head unit to get the speakers, tweeters, and sub to play clearly with no white noise from here: DIY Amp Integration Harness . I used this same method with my Alpine cda-9887 in my si and it worked perfectly.

I just bought an 07' Si Sedan as well, and I have left from my Smart Car a double dim touch screen DVD. Will the factory steering wheel controls still work with the new deck?
