How much would you pay to live in this place?

I'd definitely rent and invest my money instead

for sure
nothing wrong with it, looks like it has decent bones and the property and access to a stream are cool

not enough stainless steel for some but if you have ever rented a cottage up north this would be along the same lines for some of the offerings

Meh, cool on them if that is what they want to take on.

I must be doing something seriously wrong in life cause I wouldn't even entertain the thought of a $675k-$725k house/mortgage with their job situations.

But at the same time, if you are considering a boathouse and a farmhouse in your search then I'm sure there was ample houses to pick within the city before settling on a fixer upper in Orangeville but to each their own.

Our budget was $725,000 and below, hoping for something more like $675,000. When you type that into a Toronto real estate app you don’t get many results. So we widened our search. We looked at half a dozen places around the GTA, including a houseboat in Scarborough and a farmhouse in Richmond Hill.
