Shipping within Canada

I went over to Canada post to ship out a few hats as presents within Ontario...to ship 2hrs outside of Toronto $17 + HST, to Vancouver $20 + HST.

First of all this makes no sense for local shipping to be so expensive and then for the differential between GTA to Vancouver to be so small ($3). WTF

unreal

Re: Shipping within Canada

Well, a single $1 stamp sends a letter to Vancouver or the next door.

Explain why we pay $2,000 Delivery for cars that were assembled in Ontario, meanwhile Americans pay half for the same car.

Meanwhile, I can order a pair of socks from Aliexpress for a $1 shipped from China. Something doesn't add up for sure.

That's WAY different... you need to order things YEARS in advance if you're buying from there.

Meanwhile Canada Post is supposed to be not for profit and meanwhile they've had profits every year up until the last strike.
