IT Project Managers?
|
Have a friend moving from Houston to Toronto looking for work to keep him here (getting married to a Canadian).
Anyone know of places that he could hit up for work? IT based Project Management I guess. He is currently a PM at ExxonMobil (been at the company steady moving up for past 14 years).
I know nothing about the IT world so any direction is appreciated!

My bro in law is a Sr. Strategy Manager at Telus so he is looking into that end.
Was thinking maybe Sunoco hook ups but snapper aint there no more...

if you want to be an IT PM at Suncor, you'll have to work for HP or IBM lol
definitely try the banks. tell me he's at least PMP. what sort of projects did he run? size?

Yup. Banks are always looking for IT PMs ... hell, most of them are tech challenged and english challenged - they are still employed.

To me they are like the resident nag - just ask when things are going to get done; make you fill in their project plans and request forms and then take the "paper work" (by that I mean soft copies) and forward it to whomever that I could've just send directly to.
Ask them to do something and they throw some random process in your face.
useless.
