Read that the inflation adjusted sunshine amount of $100k (from'96) would be ~$142k today. Seems like they need to amend the cutoff as this list will continue to swell.

You need to contact your HR dept quick! min wage in ontario is $11 since June 2014 :P
Looks like 20 years ago the min wage was $6.70...works out to be a CAGR of 2.5%.

It's true if you really look at certain professions. On the accounting side it seems working for the government pays below market (CFO of a hospital made $130k)
wtf is that? Yet clerical/admin/random jobs like Rob Ford's communication guy made almost the same. Education and level of responsibility are completely unmatched, but pay is the same. I guess making sure Rob Ford doesn't slip up (as if) is more important than our water supply 
Should've been an admin assistant at OPG at age 18, would've been pulling down 300k by now for a quick 35 hours a week.

I do agree the limit of 100k is outdated and needs to be adjusted to reflect todays numbers. Just because 100000+ names are on the list doesnt mean there havent been cutbacks either. Its not as cut and dry as omg 100k govt is ruining us. Some of thoes salaries make sense. While (already pointed out), others dont.

They obviously don't in most cases.
The total number of clerks doesnt even come close to the total number of police officers in this province.
That makes a huge difference overall. Some janitor making 120k(ridiculous), he/she(s)is not even a drop in the bucket compared to the police services.
That doesnt mean I think it doesnt matter or shouldnt be corrected. Its just small time by comparison.

Agreed, it is sad. I've seen some of her projects too, freaking huge. Like the storm water project for frenchman's bay. Husband is an architect, so that upper middle class life.
That said, I'm glad that I never got a chance to work in engineering, I'd be complaining like you

My widowed mom makes about the same money from my dads Hamilton Police Service pension then I make working lol.
My wife made $102K but she works her ass off too. In the past few months shes had several 18hr days, taken last minute shifts, attended meetings and joined committees. She just got called in for a night shift tonight.
I wish I had half the drive and ambition that she does.

all my friends which are in finance/accounting are making mad coin at the banks. engineering doesn't make squat compared to them. you get capped even with a graduate degree.
