WWCSi do about these wheels?

I like the Forgestar F14 SDC's but there's a long wait due to supply issues and each set are custom made, no inventory is kept.

Timeline:
1)January - Found a set in Virginia
2)Had them shipped to Ohio friends house
3)He brought them to Detroit Autoshow where I picked them up
4)Last Friday put insurance on the M3
5)Monday went and got a sticker (MTO knew there was no liability)
6)Tuesday put the wheels on
7)Wednesday drove the car right to the tire shop where he provided me with this invoice, as the bad news.

8)Thursday, today, sent this invoice to the original seller. I didn't ask for anything, put him on notice.

Facts:
-Paid through my USD corporate gold visa
-Paid through paypal as a gift or whatever, where I pay the fees
-Original ad claims they're a few months old, selling due to trading in the car.
-Now that they're balanced, the guy did a good job and I'm pleased with the ride, but he says there's no way he didn't know. I couldn't go above 100kph and if they were balanced like they are now when I got them I'd have never known there was an issue, but this doesn't negate the fact I've got premium wheels with reduced resale/equity/value as I'd never not disclose this.

For reference, here are the wheels

I've barely had time to digest it. What say you?

Suck it up buttercup.

Seriously, you've waited too long to make a complaint. If I was the seller I'd tell you to pound sand.

Buyer beware when it comes to used goods. \:\( Can't do too much about it especially the seller is not local. It isn't like you can bring it back to him for a refund.

By the way, the car looks awesome.

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

Lots of peeps run their cars with a bent wheel.
I personally wouldn't do it though.

Balanced up to 100 doesn't mean it's balanced. And because you cannot feel it in the cabin doesn't mean your wheel bearings dont feel it. If it's bent, then it's not round. I wouldn't run it. Get a replacement wheel if the seller won't help you out. Not worth it imo.

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

You seem to have bad luck with bent or unbalanced wheels on your BMWs. I think you should give me your BMW, its the only way to make sure you won't have this problem again ;\)

Car looks FANTASTIC!

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

As everyone has stated, the car looks great but running bent wheels probably isn't in your best interest.

I will add that your car needs black kidneys.

this. it would fuck your wheel bearing eventually and i can't imagine that would be cheap for a emtree. i say get that one wheel fixed, let the seller know, if he pays for the fix great if not take it as a cost of buying used wheels from across the boarder.

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

The only problem is that it's two wheels and from the sounds of it they are rather expensive wheels to begin with. There's a good chance they are not fixable.

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

Yeah it's two wheels.

It was brutal over 100 yesterday, today it's only harshness really that I'd expect from low profile summer 19's on a sports car.

Thanks for the compliments on the look. The black kidneys are on my desk, chrome exhaust already removed.

the bearing itself is around $70. Pretty standard.

If you want the hub assembly it's obviously more but not insane. However there's obviously no need to potentially ruin them quicker with bent wheels.

Try carcones, they straighten bent rims

They'd make some cool end tables.

Considering prices of furniture... actually, the forgestars would probably be on the cheap side XD

DO IT!

Don't get matte black wheels yo.

I vote take them to a rim repair shop and ask them.

Re: WWCSi do about these wheels?

Matte black Te-37's came off the car

I'm going to get my dial gauge out (I have a machine shop) and do a measurement

Seller wants to make this right
