nextbox 3.0.....anybody have one?

Wondering what peoples thoughts are for those that have one. I'm becoming tired of the slowness of my 2.0 so thinking of getting the new one.
Wanna know if they made any improvements over the constant issues that the 2.0 is plagued with.
Don't care much for the added space or additional tuners. More interested in the reliability than anything else

never had the 2 but have the 3 now
it's fast, record a shit ton at once but i only pay like $2 for it, as part of my "deal"

8 recordings at once is great. The box works well, the one thing that bugs me with the programming is when you stop a current recording. Your only option is to stop and save so you have to then go back and delete afterwards.

Nitpic...the little blue power light right under the red record is hard to see and the blue number lighting is difficult to see too. [/old man]

while your at it, take back all of your boxes and get bell. screw rogers for trying to make you pay extra for shitbox "2.0" when you get that with bell for free.

I wish Bell was cable. I hate having a dish mounted outside my house or anywhere on the house. I am not sure if the new Fibe TV still require the dish.
Only reason why I am staying with Roger. The government need to open up the license for more provider. In my area, there are only 2 choices - Bell or Roger. No Shaw, No Coegeco

fibe doesn't need a dish. and i shit you not, it's 10,000000000x better than rogers. the boxes never freeze, never goes slow, and it never updates. plus it's cheaper.

^ ya only problem is the service is WAY more expensive.
I'm at $110/mth tv and internet w/rogers.
No complaints with the service, the hardware is the issue.
They solved the modem issues, my new hiltron is great. Nextbox 2.0 not so much

you are not set with only bell and rogers.
there are other smaller companies out there

wut. i pay $100/mo for TV and internet. no wait i'm lying, $120 because i ordered the best TV package (which gives you many more channels than rogers)

I may switch to bell. Contract is up with Rogers and they are no longer offering free pvr or modem. Rates will be going up across the board in January for everyone too so may be the time to jump for cheaper services.

They are it's just not on the forums (redflagdeals). I just finished "cancelling" & waiting 3 days before calling winback myself to get back my VIP with 20% discount and free PVR.
They offered 25% without free PVR. I declined.

They gave me a 2.0 PVR
To have to whole home PVR thing, I must call a Rogers tech and pay $50.
Is this something complicated/need authorization or is it something I can do with an instruction if I can find it.
