Do you think I would get away with wire cutters and screw drivers in my carry on for work? |

I've carried screwdrivers, multitools, chains, etc. in my carry on multiple times and they never said anything. |

I just surrendered over $500 in tools. Most dangerous was a tap. |

I'd call and ask first.... |

if they're important to you, for your trip or in general, i'd check them just in case. it would suck to have an over zealous CATSA/TSA agent take it and not getting it back. |

If they let Euphoric in the cabin, I am sure they will let other tools in too. |

Yep. I was too late for my flight (car rental agency opened at 5am, 5:30am flight) to check luggage. I flew there with my taps, wasn't allowed to fly out though. Said to security how about I just toss them here. They said I wasn't allowed to toss anything based on my own decision, they have to decide. Went through 7 people before all my tools were taken (again, that I flew there with). |

check it, i lost tools as well. It was just a multi-head screwdriver. I asked what they thought i was going to do with it? Straight faced they answered "disassemble the plane while in flight" |

Ended up checking it all into one of those big plastic travel bins with the locks all around. Cost us $75 but no issues |
