XD XD XD no doubt the RB is a wicked motor, and whitehead puts out some good work. But arguably the S20 motor is much more special.
A motor from '68 with fuel injection, 4 valves per cyl and dual overhead cams is mega exotic. Not to mention it can rev to 8k rpm. Even alloy block and head!!!! Broke a lot of ground for its day! It's like a japanese manufacturered 1/2 ferrari v12 motor XD

Most of the e36 jdm imports (which you can find all over canada at this point ) seem to be pretty beat. Usually sketchy history and in need of a lot of work.
Plus engine parts are harder to get here (ie:dealer only v.bendover)
you would be better off with a beater e36 with an s54 swap
