CAA or ??

So I've pushed it as far as I should, and it's time to purchase something like CAA.
Any recommendations other than CAA? I think Crappy Tire has one, as does TD Visa?
I'm looking at the CAA Plus @ $107... Peace of mind I guess...

Car's an '01 EL @ 260km ... No idea WTF to do if I ever broke down or got stuck somewhere ... The car's in tip top shape, it's peace of mind I suppose.
Battery died once (HIDs started acting weird, and stayed on ... ended up being battery was EOL) in the middle of winter, had the gf drop by with her car and I had jumper cables in the trunk .... Otherwise that's the only time I would have needed help...

It's only 100 bucks and it's worthwhile having. Even if you don't end up using it, you can hook up your friends/family should they ever need a tow.
They even do flatbed tows! You just need to request it.

Just got the plus for my wife. Definitely pays for itself with just 1 tow. $75 hook up fee + $3/km, you might as well bend over and take it ... If your car ever break down.

If you are with TD already, change your account to Selective Service chequing account. Then get a Gold Visa. It comes with a CAA like service and travel insurances.
As long as you have $5,000 and up in your account, everything is free.

CAA is worth it and then some. i bought mine last month and i've used two tows already. 1 to take the integra from the old place to the new and yesterday to tow the bimmer to the shop (05 bimmer btw)
seems like more of their riggs are flat beds now. the first a-hole who didn't tow the integra had a flat bed and ofcourse the second guy did. flat bed showed up for the bimmer and i didn't request one.

I've had CAA for 5 years now...as long as I can afford it I will always have it...even if I don't use it.
There hasn't been a year where I haven't towed my own vehicle/family/friends. It has more than paid for itself.
I even had them tow me once when I was too drunk to drive...pulled a fuse and called them for a tow saying car won't start, meanwhile I was shitfaced. Beats paying $50+ for a cab.

Spark plugs aparantly. Kicker was the car was at RMP to do the bushings I made the appointment 1 week from now to do the type 2 maintence.
So with plugs, and gas in the oil from cranking it, I just did the maintence now of course, runs great now.

nope. at first i thought it was the battery since we are parking outside now, but it cranked over fine and i even boosted it and it still didn't start. i think they were the origional spark plugs but i didn't think that they would make the car not start at 100,000km.

^ On the topic of cycling failures, I rode on a number of boutique wheels, each of which I've managed to destroy the spokes of. Unfortunately, the spoke count was so low that once a spoke breaks, u are stranded bc the wheel is near taco shape. Now I try and ride 24-28 spokes out back and despite spoke breakage even on a 24h, the wheel is somewhat round. Just adjust the brake and carry on.
If a chain breaks...well, definitely SOL. Especially with the janky thin 10sp chains these days. And sometimes, you'll get a tire puncture so bad that you cannot continue even with a new tube. I guess that's more of a tire gash than a puncture. So yeah, CAA for cyclists still make sense. What if said wife was out of town while you were out there?
Hatorade had to rescue me once when I had a bike issue out in scarbaria.

^^ I'm riding on Mavic Kysiriums which are supposed to be bullet proof despite the reduced spoke count. I have a spare tire and a spare tube in my bag. Chain breakage would own me, but those are rare.
I just renewed my membership anyway, got the RV option too for when I am towing, if I need both car and trailer towed.
