"club mortgage" saved (ruined) my life

Nice day, so why not make a pic post to "brag" about my new house. \:\)

Shop at the back.. the van is not mine, garage has lots of storage space, good lighting, and gas heat.

My cars. Dirty, but I've been busy.

From the back yard. Its a nice deep lot, but if I go any further back you can't see house because tree.

Front if the house. Nice day.

It does back on to a school, beside the school is a church, and then a conservation area. Its good because we can take the dog for a walk and she can just run all over the fields.

I'll try and get some inside pictures, its still really half-ass messy because we're just moved in last weekend and kinda lazy. Last two months has been a whirlwind of selling our old house, living with inlaws, and buying.

Vas, it was a bit over 200, but not a lot. Dorchester is more expensive than London because its such a nice little town and you still have the conveniences of the city. We went downtown last night to watch the fights, then cabbed home. It was expensive, but still doable.

Born and raised in Toronto then we moved to Woodbridge in 81 because my parents wanted out of the city,Woodbridge was a nice small farm town back then mixed with Italians and English people. In the early 2000s I moved to Barrie because of work and it was great, nice and quiet, not so anymore,I want to get outta here now because its so busy. I dont know how some of you's do it living in the city,I couldnt do it anymore.I went to buy some snows I found on Kijjii down in Markham a few weeks ago and I sware I was ready to kill someone or myself by the time I was done. Country living is more relaxing.

Markham has so much construction going on that it's a mess right now. Where in Markham did you go?

Time for you to move to Keswick.

Are you telling me that you prefer Asian fobs to brown fobs? Is it basically because Azn > Brown > Blacks in terms of having more money to afford certain areas?

Re: "club mortgage" saved (ruined) my life

The listing said 20X30'.. I don't think thats accurate. The boat and the trailer fit into that little addition on the left side of the gargage, leaving it completley empty to work on cars. And all my summer seasonal shit fits on the right side, less clutter. \:\)

I'll get some more pics up in a bit.
It still doesn't feel like home yet though, we were in our old house for three years, I loved that place.

Re: "club mortgage" saved (ruined) my life

Few more.. House is still quite messy, we both work full time + jobs and I have a drinking problem on the weekends. \:\) 5 more weeks until holidays and we can get all the small shits done.

Vas, I'm sorry, but the garage is fucked. I haven't been out there yet mainly because its cold, and I don't know how to turn the gas furnace on. Our home inspector said because the gas is shut off to the garage, I need to get a furnace guy to come look at it and make sure everything is safe before I get it going.

And I have no clue on square footage, its not a particularly big house. Two decent size bedrooms upstairs, and both the bathrooms are really big.. Maybe 1400?! I'm retarded.

Downstairs bathroom, just a peep in:

My view from the sofa:

Inside the mess of a garage. I promise, once I get in there for a day its going to look a 1000X better.

Kitchen: It had that gold hardware that you can probably see, we updated that a little already, but need two more of the 3" pulls.. Plus, I bought new fridge and stove..

Upstairs: Bedroom straight ahead, and one on the right, left is the bathroom

This was my first attempt at getting the boat to fit in the lean-to.. Its in now.

Thats about it. I know the pics suck, they were all from my phone, but hey.

Re: "club mortgage" saved (ruined) my life

Wow, those pictures really suck. Only a few more, and then I don't post again for another six months. :p

Urinal in the garage!

Upstairs bathroom

From the dining room, peeping into the living room

130 year old front door. I love this thing, it came with a skeleton key, still works.

And lastly, because my girlfriend hates my old marble coffee table. (looked great in old house, this one has different layout/decor) I bought this big bastard at an antique place in Woodstock this weekend, I'm going to make a coffee table out of it, even though I have no fucking clue what I'm doing. I love a big coffee table.

The one on the right.. Its about 6' long. \:\)

wow man, that's a solid home!!! I love all the trim in there!

This is probably one of the nicer places posted on here, I've gotta admit I love it.

So the garage is also heated and 600 sq. ft.? I am major jelly!!!!

Not sure what the bylaws are where you are, but the first thing I'd do is build a fence from the sides of the house to the property lines at the sides to fully enclose for privacy/security. You can let the dog run around in the back too \:\)

Re: "club mortgage" saved (ruined) my life

Thanks guys. \:\)

Canuck, the best thing about the trim being the little crowns at the top of each door way, if you look close at them, each one is a little bit different. It would be damn near impossible to make the same one twice.

And yeah, building a big fence around the yard is #1 priority. It will happen in the spring when I get some money back together. Going to do a wrought iron gate in the driveway, and a 6' fence all around it.

My garage at my last house was nearly same size, but didn't have the little additions, I think these will make a big difference for keeping storage and work space as two seperate things.
But my last garage, had electric heat and was fully plumbed with its own bathroom. \:\) This urnial just goes into a hole in the ground oustide. Funny, but it does the job.
