Ok........the pool is set up. Its the SAME format as the H2H last year. I just copied it (there is a function to set up the same league).
I am already in a $20 one so if this doesn't work out...I got one more league

tor-mon should be a fun first game to watch - it'll be fast and prob lost of turnovers given the nerves. habs are missing camellari (yesss, as he always kills the leafs, wish we had him). also gramps Hamrlik and Markov (well markov is my age lol) both have bad knees. hopefully Price chokes as usual! hoping the leafs sneak into 7th or 8th place this season....but who knows. have to win these games vs. divisional rivals, very important for pts!

srlsy, picks 1-12 are practically guaranteed...those maybe some variation of players near the end...or up until pick 20. but after that it's crapshoot...i think picking midpack is good cause you land a wicked top 5, then good spot in 2nd round for antohr good guy. but well, at least balance is needed, so still need b-type players anywys. since if you pick 1st overall...it's killer to pick like 24th next LOL

middle sucks only if you have a low amt of ppl in the draft (like we did last year for roto lol), as you guys with 1st/2nd pick were laughing with like 6-8 ppl in the pool...came around fast for your next guy. i would think early to mid. is decent in larger pool. but 'overall' yeah i guess higher is better.

i dropped leighton for giggy haha, the leafs D BETTER cut down the goals against this season. i didnt want elliot or thomas as they wont get teh starts.
well luckily i did move a bunch of players around in case it did autopick, which it did, i slotted a couple of goalies pretty high lol....since i was last spot for picks, the computer ended up with some interesting choices (what's left kinda thing).

As for Leighton....Dallas picked him up for a reason over Turco. I'd stick with him. When he was healthy, he was pretty good. Wait...ya...maybe drop him so I can drop Chris Mason. LOL ATL is still very young. He is going to be pretty exposed.

well i ended up with that many good Dman cos i bumped/mixed a bunch of them up into my fwd's when i re-org'd my predraft rankings. so then i missed teh live draft, having you jabroni's took all the (my) good fwd's throughout the draft (as i picked last), so the system had a clusterfuck of my Dman all in order sicne the fwd's names were gone...racked them all up lol.
looking for? eih i dunno. but hrm...maybe team isn't SO bad, as all my guys do have decent spread out point production....and i guess that's more important that having 'some' awesome dudes with lesser players? since like, over a week it's totals from all players playing. hrm...

If anything, I picked my goalies a round or two too early as the premier goalies were already gone. I could have had even more awesome forwards if that is possible.

I know....lol You can't go wrong. I'd only sit Brodeur if they were playing the Pens or Caps. 95% of the time, brodeur is a must start.
Thomas is not bad of a pick up indeed as Rask is probably going to be sharing some starts. Ellis is still hurting....I wouldn't mind a 3rd goalie but I don't think Ellis is an upgrade from Chris Mason.

You better go grab McArther before I do. He is in a good spot on the Leafs 2nd line. As for Zherdev. He is a non factor. 5 goals and he can't even get a point. I am glad I dropped his lazy ass.
I am surprise there are still forwards who I'd want....I was hunting for D but there is nothing that catches my eye. Shane O'Brian has been a non factor on the PIMs side but it seems like my team goons pretty well even without him. I need more points in the back end.

As for you...you have some good pieces but there are better guys on waiver then some guys you landed. What does your team look like now? I could use another D. With Burrows coming off IR in a month or so, we can swing a trade if the players are right.

^well usually i've been able to finish top3 even if i had bad picks...but this yr i doubt can pull that off lol. there are decent players on W or FA now which i may grab. maybe for h2h it's better to change more with guys being hot and u ride them for awhile. overall tho certain players usually perform better over the yr. hm...

Yes he did...but he plays in the 1st/2nd line......not expecting that he has 15 pts. But at least 1 or 2 in the last 4 games.
Iginla is usually a slow starter but this is just sad. Kovolchuck just plain suck. He was better in Atlanta.

GOOOOD. Trading a bunch of draft picks for Kessel when Boston was stuck with him was the WORST move ever (at the time...NJ & Kovolchuck is the worst). The Leafs were rebuilding. How good would we look now if we had kadri, seguin in the minors while tanking all the way to another high draft???????

kessel is still a solid pickup i say, even vs. a draft pick. no guarantee's with a draft pick remember. hall/seguin still not at crosby/ovie level at their age still. i know it sucks to lose picks, but i'd still have kessel anyday for guaranteed 30 goals minimum (more if he had help). mind you hall and eberle are on a shitty young EDM team now...it'd be nice to see one of them with a true star. it's this year's 1st rounder that is the real killer - 2 1st rounders was to much fosho!!!
i pray the leafs sign Brad Richards come feb!!! since we missed out on Nash last year.

I got pretty lucky with my iffy goaltending choices. Ward has been average but Price has been great.

yeah saw that last night, wow burkie not fuckin around. i guess he saw the light and how he fucked up trying to do a fast fix before you have TRULY skilled players, not the just side pieces to the puzzle. but having that 1st rounder this year is a nice bonus to get back...mind you it'll prob be bottom 3 given how far philly will go. im sure he'll trade up meanwhile though.
too bad cause versteeg could be great w/ the right line mates. watch his numbers jump nicely in philly lol. now if we coudl just unload giggy, komi and a couple other fwd's or maybe d-men for picks or some somewhat good players, we'd be better off. phaneuf needs to actually play instead of be a pilon as well.

yeah srsly, even im shocked. well have to admit the leafs are playing better since the allstar break (they always suck dec-jan but pull it together feb-march into april), but who knows....prob not enough though. they also need to hope other teams slide, which isnt always a given.
man kaberle is SOOO being traded to the bruins soon lol!
oh and even if we do slide into the playoffs...in 8th place that is...we'd get swept by philly so fuckin fast lol.

Led the AJHL in playoff scoring with 16 points (8-8-16), including six power-play goals, en route to an AJHL championship in 2008.

hopefully Richards or Nash...but there hopefully will be some nice trades in the works for them (or others). have to get giggy's contract the fuck out, maybe trade jonas (unless he comes around), but they need a good experienced goalie as a back up to reim's. hopefully trade some other young fwd's or even a couple of shyte d-man *cough komasarik cough*. the leafs got away with murder for the kaberle trade (we can resign him lol) and have nice picks back from boston....not to mention finishing higher in the standings this year give them like 10th pick lol.

i have to say i agree with burkie's statements about bullshit end year contracts. essentially tacking on 3-5yrs on the end just to "work the numbers"...where the team will essentially just buy the guy out. pretty ghey. he's almost 32, already had a recent concussion....he'll be very good for what, another 3 yrs MAX? then from 36+ meh...nothing special, that's not rebuilding.
of course id love ot have him at centre, but not for an overinflated price that's for sure.
now stamkos, hell fuckin yes sell teh farm. his numbers since a rookie are awesome...granted he has awesome linemates now, would be cool to see him "home" in TO. i'd hope he can put up numbers like he did in tbay. we'd prob have togive him 8.5-10.5 mil a year tho for 10 yrs lol.
it's crazy what most B-rated players have got in the past 2days.
montreal gives erik cole like 18mil? lol wtf? fail.

if we have 12 teams.. I usually prefer to be 2-4 or 9-11... dead middle is crappy.. first is crappy. last is bad, but not as bad as first..
cause first person would get top pick.. and then pick 24th and 25th.

it's whiplash. and fuck that, he was on the top of his crease barely outside, gionta coulda skated thru...yes he was a bit unsteady, but he didn't have to fuckin fly through half diving with his arm/elbow bent like that right at reimers head. you can see how he's pretty much angled so he hits reimer still with room. it knocked his helmet off, which takes quite a shot. even a habs fan here who hates the leafs said it was a cheap shot lo.

I did get a little lucky as I didn't run into the dude that had lots of Bruins....everytime I played him, he killed me as the Bs were hot whenever we went H2H. Ho had a stacked team and he had a real crappy week that 1st round.
The last week was a little hairy too. Halak got shelled by Columbus on Saturday but luckily, whoever I was playing against had their goalie killed too.
The #1 trophy will look good in my yahoo trophy case....but this isn't the first time I beat you guys. lol You shouldn't be too surprised son.

congrats to LA...wow, they're going to be good for awhile to come (if they keep the team together obviously). nice to see the kids win it and quick did stand on his head. sucks for that call on Bernier though, LA dude turned at the last second wth. i can see 4mins penalty at most (but even then it's hard to say as the ref has to make split second decision), even if it was wrong.
mr. burke - i hope youre paying attention fatty! this is how you build a winning team. sadly, we could have had half the LA team on the leafs by now over the last 4yr rebuild (well 45 yr rebuild lulz).
nice to see that most of LA was cdn's tho (as is usually the case with most of the cup winning teams).

was hoping for one of those power fwd rookies in the draft, but looks like the D-kid we got is very promising, and we neeeed a puckmoving D-man/playmaker (amongst a lot of other help lol) anyways, so hopefully he makes the team.

The Jackets didn't get much back...we could have packaged Colby Armstrong (before we bought him out) and shipped Connolly + draft pick or two to the CBJs....at least if they traded him to the Leafs, the draft pick would have been much better considering the Leafs aren't going to make the playoffs.
They should just disband the Bluejackets....they are more brutal than the Leafs.
