So uh....my car is not in the driveway

get woken up like 10 mins ago to commotion in the house.... my car was on the driveway blocked by another car. they smashed the window to that car rolled it onto the street. got in mine and left.
wonder if they will find it.

Chances are they have it sitting somewhere in an open/busy lot (home depot/walmart) to make sure it's clean with no gps/cell triangulation tracking. If they are stupid they probably have it in someone's garage. There no money from this car for a chop shop to bother with. Cost > Benefit, the parts don't sell for what they used to.

Ya home insurance covers it..had my civic broken into and they stole my thinkpad, cd and jacket. Adjuster came to my office to price out the laptop. She really couldn't argue with my price as she was walking into the IBM office to negotiate a replacement for the thinkpad.

yep went through the same shit when my car got stolen with it's contents. Car was 4 yrs old 100k and insurance offered a low-ball offer of $12k...LOL We looked on auto trader and compared my turd to the same year and mileage and took the median which at the time was $17k...L M A O
Anyways, I was going to claim the contents but we had a different insurance co., for the home and really wasn't worth paying a $500 deductible. In the end I came out a head anyways even with the stolen contents since the settlement was uhhh, more then fair.

I agree with him, stock for stock, the s2k looks better. The 350z looks nice in your picture but when you get up close and personal with the car, the "looks" aren't doing it any favours. The doorhandle, the weird "back" window, the rear lights are huge, meh. That's just me

you used a new gen S2k vs old gen 350Z (350 is pretty similar though but so is the s2k)
350z also looks best from rear back angle like shown on the s2k pic.

Just to make it clear Ive never said the s2k was ugly. They messed up the front bumper and lip though on the newer ones.
Put a stock 03 s2k beside my 03 and it would look funny though.

I like that lowered black one, however the 350z looks too much like an Asian car, which to me isn't as appealing in comparison to euro looking cars. IMO the s2000 has that european (smooth curves) look.
Anyway, it's subjective. To each their own.

Nope, s2k doesn't look asian, just like the EG hatch. They both have a european look them, heck, the EG was designed by Italians anyway (not Japanese). The s2000 could easily pass for something else if it was debadged whereas the 350z can't.
You mofo, try driving a stock civic for 5 years then tell me the s2k/350z suck compared to other cars.
The only thing that has kept me sane are my bikes, I give it to all of you I did get pulled on by a Porsche Turbo on the highway though, after 180ish this guy walked me hard.

didn't look like it at first - shop quoted @ $6k at first (rad, bumper support, a/c condensor grill , bumper, fogs, etc. etc.) -- ordered all the parts and were about to get started; as they removed the front, they saw that the two frame rails (the thing that the bumper support is connected to) is twisted and they looked further down and said the tranny housing's cracked and the mounts were toasted.
that was it.

i did a wack bunch of maintenance in the summer.(from that thread) about 1k worth of parts which isnt that much really. it was basically tbelt/tensioner/water pump/gaskets(incl head), arp head studs(which are about $200 themselves) and some other misc stuff.
Im more pissed that i just did cap/rotor/fuel filter/plug wires on sunday in the pissing rain.
i hope i can find all my receipts. shit i probably left some of them in the car.
moving around sucks , i started not to keep that stuff all together.
