Good tires?

What would be the best tires to get for the stock rims on a 2000 si?

Re: Good tires?

Yoko's Avs Es 100's.... excellent wet and dry traction and super quiet. plus if you get them in 205's they still look good unlike some other tires that stick out on the bottom and make it look like the tire is low... it has some sort of rim protector sidewall insert that gives them a better looking fit. got mine from discount tire direct for like 80 a piece and i got a 75 dollar gift card to sharper image with the set. i've had mine for about 6k miles with some mountain twistie action and they still look new... just rotated them at 4k and crossed the back tires to the front. much better than nitto 450's they were loud as fuck and didn't handle as good.

Re: Good tires?

i suggest that you get the kumhos falkens but not falken azenus especially for everyday driving . the azenus is pretty much street slicks. and will not do good in the rain. dont get meeh wrong i had a couple of pairs myself. i broke my clutch into 7 peaces with one of them (burning out..stupid i know).but they are not good everyday drivers. because it is a soft rubber and wont last long............o0o0o.......... i really like the nittos they look weally nice. .. the advans not to shaby. neither

Re: Good tires?

Depends oh how you drive.

yok es100s' for normal daily driving (great balance wet and dry performance)

Azenis if you are going to do short stints racing like short autox courses where they wont get too hot. The suck when they are hot or when its raining.

Kumho Ecsta MX for a street/race tire. They out perform the azenis in the wet, and actually become stickier when they are hot (better for actual track events, hot lapping, etc...)

It really all depends on your driving style.

18's look kinda puny on a Civic - you should really get some dubs with spinners

All of these are great tires, the Toyo Proxies T1-Ss are probably the best, quietest, longest lasting rain tire you can get for the street today, combined with a great, and i mean great selection of tire sizes you cant go wrong. i would go with the 205/50/15 T1-S, i run it on the street and i love them dearly

Re: Good tires?

The only tires I've ever had are Nitto 555's and the Neo Gens 205/45/16 and they were great. I've looked at the Falken 512's also

Re: Good tires?

If only they made them in 15"s. Then again the BF Goodrich T/A KDW would be nice if it was available in a 15" as well. my friend has them on some 17"s in his eclipse..... great all around tire, just a little pricey..... all we get for 15"s

Not a fan of the falken azenis, they wear out way too fast and become unbalanced quickly

They were always pretty heavy, too.
