i was wondering if it is possible to cut the, i guess you would call it the................., the open area by where the license plate goes, off and reaplace it with aluminun mesh? will it cause the bumper to become flimsy?? has anyone done it before???

Sure it has been done before, in 1997. Give me a few days to find a redneck in the Wal-Mart parking lot with it done to snap a pic or two. It will look like compete ass. Please don't do it.
thats not what my car looks like anymore. i dont hav that front end anymore.i have the stock bumper with a mugen front lip. i just dont like the plastic grill things. Damn everyone here just likes the stock looks dont they??? all i want to add is some mesh!!!!!!!!!
they dont even drive your car, so to each his own.i just cut all of mine off and it does fine-its bolted in from the top and bottom so it shouldnt be flimsy-heres the only one i found that shows it at all
There are custom mesh that are mounted on the stock air vent without cutting it. Rice or not... don't listen silly comms, just make your car as YOU like it.
Well, here's somethign to think about. When you cut the grill to add the mesh, you'll need to make it clean. If not, you'll have issues installing the mesh. The reason why everyone bags on people for putting on the mesh is because after a while, the mesh looks like ass due to everyday driving. You'll evenually want to put it back to stock look, and have to pay for a new bumper. Just what I've noticed over the years here.
