I am not sure of all of the technical terms so I will describe as best as I can. Last week I was running and I had a lot of pain on the outside of my right leg just below the knee. I cannot run/walk/elliptical without pain and discomfort. I understand this is a common problem. any ways to prevent this? I know my running style isnt ideal, its heel strike on the outside part of my heel. my heel is quite worn down on the back outside part and everywhere else is fine. I guess that would be supination. When I recover I will adjust this as best I can and perhaps a lower profile shoe? In the meantime I will not be running or using the elliptical. I understand time off will be necessary for me to recover as well, it will give me more time for yoga now.
I still want to stay active with cardio, is there anything I can do for an hour or two a day that will still burn a decent amount of calories and be easy on my knees, riding my bike isnt bad but I would like other ideas if there are any. if this should have gone in to the running/cardio thread, my apologies.
