So I found out from the doc that what i thought was a mole on my lower abdomen is a wart (how the fuck does that happen?) and I made an appointment to have it removed.

Bad news is my movement will be limited due to the stitches afterwards. I've been on a good streak lately with the 5x5 program and the supplements I'm on to put on some mass. Now it sounds like I'll be out of commission until the stitches heal (1 month maybe?).

What do I do to lessen the loss of what I've gained so far? Or should I just say fuck it and pick up again after a month?

Superglue it and lift anyway.

unless this thing is like a crater... I dont think it will take a month. also seems like you could do some stuff anyway... maybe some shoulders, arms, perhaps even a bench press...

might skip the squats for sure.

How big is this that it needs stitches? I've had moles removed, they usually just lift & cut, & there's a hole there that they put a pad over

one month shouldn't be enough for you to lose anything critically. just keep your nutrition in check if you're serious about keeping the mass and once you pick things up you should naturally fizzle back into things.

It's not very big, maybe 3/8". He said they would cut around it in an ellipse shape and then bring the skin together and stitch. Now that I look at it, it should be a pretty small cut, but I guess there will be stitches nontheless.

Maybe that reduces the size of the scar by stretching good skin over the wound, dunno.

I guess if you can stand to cut any, adjust diet & work on that

I had a mole on my shoulder blade completely removed by cutting through the skin so that I had a couple internal as well as 5 external stitches and it took me out MMA training for only 10 days. I get my stitches out tomorrow and I will roll on Wednesday.

Ask for a tegaderm bandage they are clear, waterproof, breathable and can stay on the entire time. I have not touched my bandage and it looks good.
