So I've been able to get my workouts in line nowadays, doing the following 5-6 times/wk:
- Cardio - ~40-45 mins on elliptical (low-impact), 500 cals. (i.e. there is some resistance and speed involved) - Some weight training, mainly arms/chest/abs for now
I come out of it with rather warm knees, sometimes even as I jump into bed a couple hrs later... My warm knees, I guess I'm referring to inflamed knees? I'm already on the elliptical i.e. low impact... versus the tread mill.
Is this a cause for concern? I am at 190lbs @ 5.7", so yes I'm overweight.
My knees aren't exactly wobbly when I'm done, but I'm not about to do another 40 mins on the elliptical either... One of the reasons why I've stayed away from the leg presses/squats for now...
I am not about to ice down my knees on a regular basis - it's too much of a hassle...
I'm only on a pre-workout supplement: Dymatize Xtreme Pump (I like it for the caffeine-like results.)
