I'm looking to buy a Civic si and want your input. I currently drive a 2005 Mazda Rx8 and it has been TERRIBLE for work. I put about 50 miles a day on my car most of which is city driving since I'm in sales. The civic si seems to be a perfect blend of sporty & practical. Do you think it would do well with such heavy use? If you guys don't think so I'm probably just going to have to grow up and buy a four seater, auto civic

Yes, but mileage will be around 21-22 MPG city. If you can handle that then go for it.
