After owning the Si for five years, the crappy stock pleather shift boot finally fell apart. What started as a small tear rapidly turned into large pieces of the "leather" finish falling off altogether, showing the white fabric backing underneath. After a little shopping around I went with a replacement boot from Redline. Price was reasonable and they have more color / farbic / piping / stitching options then I even knew what to do with. Went with a full leather black boot with single red stitching. Installation was a snap, took all of ten minutes. Final look matches the interior very nicely and looks nearly stock. The cut of the replacement boot was a 100% match for the original piece. Only reason it doesn't look 100% stock is because nothing else in the car has the same leather texture. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. The only (minor) negative thing I have to say about the company is their shipping time. The company is located in Poland, and they custom make the boots to order so this makes for a slightly longer wait. But it is well worth it. I'd estimate the wait is relatively minor (maybe 2-3 additional days) and is completely offset by the quality of the craftsmanship.

I just got mine yesterday. Paid $35 shipped and comes from Poland so it takes 2 weeks. It looks nice but is just a stitched cone of leather, not a direct bolt-on piece. I'll see how easy it is to install today.

Took about 1 1/2 hours but I wasn't in a rush. You do need a staple gun. I also replaced the the shift knob, the silver trim plate at the bottom of the boot and the silver hand brake cover and knob which after 180K were worn and scratched.
