Most people used that Hyperbright unit but I guess they went out of business or something because their URL takes you to a wheel website.Here's an idea.

It's a turn signal DRL system (like the ones on F-bodies). It functions much the same way as a Hiperbright system but costs less. You would just have to wire the disabling circuit differently to get it to work with the headlights on (it's intended to shut off when you turn the lights on).
You can make one yourself with a 3 wire to 2 wire trailer converter.
