Neep Help!! Should I Sell my 99' SI for GSX??

I have been thinking lately about how much money I have spent on my care since I bought it. I can say its about 2,000 dollars. The problem is that yes, its a little faster, but not 2,000 dollars faster. So I have been thinking of selling it and getting a 99' Eclipse GSX. I was wondering if anyone has done and found that it was a mistake or was it a good idea? Also what is your guys opinion on the GSX?RICH

My buddy traded in his 99 EX auto for a 97 GSX. He went from doing mid 16's in the Civic to low 13's in the GSX. BIG diff!I've driven his GSX and compared to my Si on the bottle, nothing compares to AWD turbo! The power is massive. If you can get into a GSX I'd say go for it. The only drawback is the room. They might as well have made the eclipse a 2 seater. Its that small. ------------------

GSX is the shit. Seriously a worth while purchase. However, beware of the crank problems. Make sure that the engine is top knotch. ------------------

I'd say go for it...I'm getting tired modding my Si too. I want something faster and those 99 Eclipse look nice. And turbo is so much fun. Since you are buying it used, just make sure the turbo is still good. And you might need another guy, I'm not very familiar with the reliability of the Eclipse. But then again, just like every other car, if you take care of it, it'll be fine. I think you'll enjoy the boost.------------------

Thanks for all the opinions. I think that you are all thinking the same way I am. I think that the SI will be really hard to sell because it such a great car but a mans got do what a mans gotta do.My next question is, I was wondering how much 99' SI's are going for with 28,000 miles? Anymore opinions welcome. thanks

Thanks for asking my question for me! Actually, I'm considering GSX, GST Spyder, or b16 hatch w/ turbo. I'd love to get a WRX or an s2000, but I would prefer to lower my car payment instead of raising it.------------------

You can probably sell it for the same amount you paid for it. Check the blue book value you will be pleasantly surprised

dsms are nice for turbos =) Be careful though...awd has problems if you plan on getting alot of HP outta it...they either hook up to the ground and you get awesome traction...or they break =) ------------------

Eclipses have the worst brakes
Upgrade brakes,
but I would rather get a Subuaru WRX or 2.5rs
the 2.5rs is only 18 k
Remember that brand new
cuz it is 19 k msrp you can talk down!
