Looking @ finallly getting a new set of wheels and I want to protect them.

Is there a wax/sealant that I can apply to my wheels that will protect them from road grime/tar/bugs/etc ?

Poorboy's works well, but any paste wax will do just a good job on them. Treat them like you treat your paint because more times than not, they are clear coated. There is no real magic to keeping wheels looking good.

I'd use a sealant over a wax IMO, since sealants tend to be a little more durable than wax. I use Smartwax's sealant on my wheels just because it's easy to use. Collinite would be a pretty good choice as well, since it's pretty durable.

I did notice that after I applied sealant to my wheels that it was easier to remove the brake dust from them...

Thats what I figured, I am going to just use my sealant that I use on my car...

Getting new wheels in the next week, I'll make sure and do this before I drive on them..

Clay my wheels and seal them..lol..

yea everyone is right, u really don't need any special wax... but I clay my wheels like SiAdam and then seal with couple layers of wax. I've been working on a special wax just for wheels... main difference is that it can handle super high temperatures so protection lasts longer. That's still in the developmental stages!
