I sold my car with all of the mods about 2 1/2 years ago to some kid 100 miles away, fearing that the car would be mistreated and I'd never see it again. A year and a half later, he got into some trouble and had to sell the car. The new owner lives a bit closer and actually tracked me down to learn more about what I did to it, tell me what things the kid broke, etc. It was nice to see someone take good care of something I dumped to much time and money into.
Looking through the local forums last night, I discovered the car is once again for sale. I can only hope to keep in touch with the new owner--it would be really cool if I could see it in person again.
the guy who bought my camaro was lurking around here a bit before, i wonder what happened to it.. last i heard, he put 4.10's in it and dyno'd it at like 338whp or something pretty monstrous.. UPDATE ME YOU NEW OWNER GUY!
Quote: That'd be a lot easier if you'd have waited a month and sold me the car.
you told me not to, chumpass! besides, now you have europe money.
edit: i'm a tard, apparently he pm'd me what he did, i just forgot. anyway it ended up with a 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa, he only made one pass and it was 12.3@113, dyno'd 385whp. i'd have hoped for more but with that mild a cam, it seems like that'd be pretty optimistic, and that's pretty solid power. apparently it does have more mph in it, i would expect a 115 trap.

Maybe it's just me but when I sell a car I could care less if they drive the thing into a pole 10 minutes later as long as I have the money in my pocket.
If I sold my RX7 (I have a lot of time into it) I really wouldn't care what happened to it.

no seriously that's weird, anything you put time into, you tend to grow attached to, but not you, have you considered a career as a contract-man?
I'm not heartless.. it's just that they're just cars. After you own a bunch you stop caring. There are always going to be more cars to cut up/modify/wreck. I think I have more fun putting them together then actually owning them. To me a firehawk is just as special as a stripper 6 cyl camaro.. I can do the same thing with either one. On just has a pretty hood and some stickers from SLP.
I also find some perverse enjoyment out of cutting the sheetmetal on a nice untouched pristine car. I loved taking a 61k mile untouched RX7 and cutting it up to the point of no return. Getting out the 3 5/8" holesaw and cutting a hole in the engine bay (on the fresh paint I just laid down!) to run my CAI was really fun.

Quote: no really, have you considered a hit-man position? i'm looking to fill a vacancy within my organization.

i'll take that position if he doesn't want in . . . . seriously though, once i sell a car i honestly don't care what happens to it either, if i really cared that much i would still have the car and not sell it to someone else
