I had my cart full of suspension parts at LMR.com the other night and pussied out. These modern cars pull almost a g on the skid pad, brakes are bomb proof on the street, and trap at 110+. I already can't use all that very often without risking jail time. I did axle backs, a filter and tune and called it good.

I had my cart full of suspension parts at LMR.com the other night and pussied out. These modern cars pull almost a g on the skid pad, brakes are bomb proof on the street, and trap at 110+. I already can't use all that very often without risking jail time. I did axle backs, a filter and tune and called it good.
I don't blame you. The overall performance level of modern vehicles got very high. With everything that's on my car right now, I could have gotten a 5.0 S197, put good coilovers on it, sticky wide tire, good brake pad, and would have been probably faster than where I am right now. The one redeeming factor of my car is that the shell is cheap and I did it all over time.

I think max something had a darker colored one about the same body style as yours that was pretty clean too...back in the day.

No wing and no tailpipes. Sold it for parts basically last year because of an electrical fire

Heh.
To be honest I don't really miss it a whole lot. It was fun to drive but, man, the dumps were annoying as shit. I didn't really like having to wear ear plugs while driving it. No one else wanted to ride in it. The FR500 steering wheel was a great size but something about it always left my hands smelling like formaldehyde after driving, even years after it was first put in.
Plus the replacement car is quite competent, has better steering feel, heated seats, and the lack of noise while driving makes it much more pleasant. Going to be hard to get me into an SN95 again, unless I win the Powerball and buy a Cobra R.

What do you have now? At this point my SN95 is purely a toy, building it for Global Time Attack and NASA Time Trial. Funny enough, I wanted it to be a Cobra R replica, and almost got there with the look but then decided to focus more on performance, so that plan is out of the window at this point.
