Either a IS350 6 speed, or the new Si.

Any info on those two? Like base price, power, perfomance, MPG, and such.

Thanks...

is350 would be hawt..but quite a bit north of the Si $$$ wise ,no?

itl have more power, less mpg. straight line speed itll probably have an edge too although the old 300 wouldnt.

When you say IS350 six speed, do you mean manual?

IS350 isn't available in a 6-speed manual. Auto only. The 250 is, however.

Toyota also gave the tail lights the azn down syndrome treatment with a little dash of Hyundai.

Wait a minute. The IS350 doesn't come with a 6sp. Manual?

You're kidding, right? If so that will comletely change my thoughts....

The 2.5 has AWD tho... but how much power, and it's prolly heavier.

i'm just going to assume you're not serious.

also, g35? the is350 is a better car than the g35. yeah, just about that much. the ONLY thing the g sedan has on the IS is the option of a manual gearbox. that considered, i'd rather go for the boring IS350 than the snooze-button g sedan. the lexus just feels tighter. the problem with both is that they look like shit next to the infiniti m35/m45 to me. thankfully the m35 (let alone 45) in rwd and optioned up nicely is well out of price range of the IS. I can't consider the G because I just can't get comfortable in it.

I don't like how the IS facelift removed a large portion of the car's character. it was a necessary evolution, but there were facets of the old IS that really should have carried over in order to tie the evolved 350 more solidly to its progenitor

Wait, you could buy like 2 new Sis for the price of a new IS.

What kind of crossshopping is that????

Anyway, the IS is a really nice car, but no manual tranny for that 3.5l = the loss.

So you're thinking about buying a 40K+ or 20K car, and you can't decide? uh......

cross-shopping can take a lot of different forms. he probably sees qualities in both cars and can't decide which appeal to him more.

fuck, i'm in love with the prior gen m45, and i the new honda fit gives me a hardon. cross-shopping a bit? i guess you could say that

1) The G35 still is faster, (except the one bogus test the IS350 got which was way faster)
2) The G35 still handles much better.
3) You can disable traction control and still have fun in the G35. The Lexus you can't.
4) Manual available in the G35
5) Without wood in the Lexus, the interior is even more cheap (hard painted plastic on doors, console, etc) real alum in the G35.
6) Performance parts are everywhere for the G35 due to the 350z. IS350 will not have many.

But the looks of the Lexus is just sweet compared to the G35 Sedan. But nothing compares to the coupe looks.

Oh shit, look who's back?

Anyway, still a fanboi uh?

The IS350 consistently tested faster than the G35 in all the comparison tests I have personally seen. That Lexus's 300hp rating is so much more convincing than the VQ's. It also gets better MPGs than the VQ.

Heck, time for an engine swap.

Please show me all these tests. I only know of one and its the questionable 13 sec time that one magazine got. All the other tests were slower than the current G35.

Well, I get 20-21 city and 25-27 highway in my G35.
