So, this is the SIMPLE reason I couldn't take the Eclipse to the SO.
when I put the Eclipse together, I completely overlooked the 2 dowels that are in the transmission.
in doing so, I almost destroyed the clutch, and I *DID* snap the front trans/motor bolt off. in good fashion, too.. completely flush with the motor.
This was only compounded by the rear trans bolt backing itself out, too.
So, Friday morning, when I left for the SO, the bolt must have come completely out, and caused the "clutch malfunction".
So, I'm making sure the dowels go back in tonight, and I'm doing everything possible to pull that other turd out.
Then, it's off to the track on Wednesday
