I love my old school Nikon 50mm 1.4
The vintageness of it gives some nice looking colors.

I love my old school Nikon 50mm 1.4 The vintageness of it gives some nice looking colors.
What does that have to do with a 24mm f/1.4? I guess 1.4? But seriously, not even the same thing we are talking about.

Those photos are incredibly lackluster, and a few are downright sloppy.

I just don't like them. I think the shots are boring and poorly composed/executed. I'm sure the lens is nice though.

Man I'm totally not being a dick, completely serious... The second one is "okay" as in there is nothing wrong with the photo, I still find it boring though. But number one, what exactly about that photo is "excellent" in your mind? All I see is a painfully obvious example of "crap, Nikon told me I have to make sure to show that the lens opens up to 1.4" And it's a poorly composed, overdone HDR, of a subject with literally limitless possibilities (none of which the photographer managed to tap) at that.

Either way when i can afford to go FX then ill be looking for a new wide prime.. so its either this or the 20mm f/1.8 or even the 18mm f/2.8.
