I have this picture that I photoshopped a bit. However, it still looks a bit too washed out or a bit too flat to me.
I opened the RAW file in Photoshop, played with the levels a bit, but never found anything that suited my fancy. I'd like a more pronounced blue sky. I also tried going for an olde timey look...but again, my efforts failed miserably, so I left it alone and went about moving the landscape with mixed results.
First thing I noticed on the RAW file is 1/1000sec at F/4.5 at 60mm... Would have started much better at F/8 and 1/400sec or something, but hey, it's not too bad...
I'll play with it in LR and see what I can come up with.
Here's my 20 second edit in LR. Did a quick mask of the sky, ground and statue, played a bit... Could have spent longer on the ground/mountains as the color is still wonky...

I should just go back out there next time in Las Vegas. That place is just weird, and it's a nice drive. It's part of the ghost town of Rhyolite, about 90 minutes north of Las Vegas.
