for $525 shipped. Looks like great shape. Serial number starts with 2, so it has the "better" LCD. Shutter count supposedly under 10K Woopty woop!

My first full frame. Yay me! May I have another cookie.

I assume you're referring to the LCD?

Apparently the LCDs on the first couple years of production were far shittier than the shittier ones on the later models.

SNs starting with...

0 = 2005 manufactured
1 = 2006 "
2 = 2007 "
3 = 2008 "

2005 and 2006 had really bad LCDs. Green and yellow hues, not sharp, just shitty. 2007 and 2008 are improved and less shitty, but still not good.

Awesome! I just got my own first full frame (5d classic as well) a few weeks ago. I was a little wary of no self-cleaning on the sensor and the lack of auto ISO, but I feel like I'm coping fairly well and I'm loving the shit out of the camera. It just feels so much more "right" in my hand than any of the rebels I've had/held.

Well...I'm coming from a 40D. I've never used auto ISO or LiveView. My biggest concern is going to be the LCD. 40D LCD is really good, so you get a great idea of what you got while chimping. Oh well...forces me to be a better photog.

Very nice, congrats to you and Spotch on the full frame. Less than 10k shutter actuation's at that age is really nice!

I was going to wait to see what Sony came out with in 2014 before going Full Frame. But I was at Best Buy the other night. Found a display NEX-5R in a case with no price. This is a 700 dollar camera when new with the kit lens, they checked the price and found the box and all accesories. The price in the computer came up to 180 dollars!!! I was like, SOLD!!! lol It isn't a Full Frame, but I really like it. It blows away the NEX-3 I have and I think the ISO performance is quite a bit better than my A65. It also has built in WIFI for cell phone connectivity, buying apps that do various things, and stuff like uploading pictures to the web directly from the camera.

Rumor is that Sony is coming out with a hybrid mount in 2014 that will somehow work with both NEX E-mount and Alpha A-mount lenses all in one body. If it turns out to be a full frame and gets good reviews, I'll possibly pick it up.

Jesus christ, 180 dollars. I need to go to best buy...

I like full frame just because it doesn't turn all my lenses into telephotos lol.

Yeah, I really hit the jackpot with that one. I figured with it being the display that it would have been torn up pretty good. But the sensor is clean as a whistle with no fingerprints. lol And there are only two small scratches on the body. It also had less than thirty actuations with ten of those happening when we were testing it before I bought it.

I thought I was getting a great deal when I got my NEX-3 display model for $299.99 two years ago. lol

I find that going back and forth between ff and crop that the crop's tiny viewfinder just irritates the bejeesus out of me.

You probably wouldn't like the 5DmkII viewfinder. It's big enough, but not huge, and not 100%. I finally ordered an Eg-d focusing screen w/grid for the camera this morning. Still not as good as the standard Nikon viewfinder with the LED grid like my freaking D200 has.

Good score OP! Sold my gripped 5Dc to a friend for $500 a few weeks ago. It's such a good bargain, but sadly mine was just collecting dust the last few months.

5DII still costs more than 2x the price of a 5Dc.
