I'm not going to copy all the text, but just include the link because you need to see the images too (and I'm way too lazy to copy all that). Anyway, it's a cool (at least I think so), relatively cheap way to create shadowless lighting...

It could be cool if you set it up right. Imagine using a cable or IR release on the camera with a flag cut out in a recognizable shape surrounding the camera. There's all kinds of stuff you could do with that. Including using shaped flags on the insides of the v- flats to change that rectangular catch light to some other shape.

Yep, I was thinking about it more and even a person standing there who doesn't look like they are holding a camera nor like they have positive motive could be very creepy and interesting. Like a kid seeing the boogie man.

Don't like the look of that, sorry but it's mad boring IMO. However, the eye stuff he talks about at the beginning of that blog post is awesome, I have seen that very article a few times. Easily an example of some of the finest photojournalism of all time.
