If you had a 5d2 like me and thinking about shooting events or "goin' pro mannnn" you'd want another body. I'm thinking about picking up another body later this year, but I don't know if I'm better off going APS-C and snagging a decent 40D/50D or picking up a slightly more used 1Ds/5D1 and just sticking full-frame.
I kinda like the idea of buying a APS-C body to give me more focal length options and gaining some extra reach out of my long lens, but I'd like to hear what you guys' opinions are.
Current lenses are 17-40 f4L, 50 1.4, and 70-200 2.8L IS.
Also, I'm trying to snag a nice used 24-70L.

7D
5D2 for when you need the DOF and the width if you shoot wide; 7D if you need fast AF. 1D3 if you need REALLY fast AF.

Hmmm, yeah, I should consider those APS-H cameras, too. Forgot to consider that in my typing of my post. I guess the 7D will probably be in my price range by the time I'm ready to do this. I'm all about used stuff anymore. Well, most of the time.

Fuck that, I am strictly manual focus. Just like video cameras.

This would be my advice. I'm doing essentially the same thing with the D700 and D300 combo (except the D700 is better all around).
cheers, scott
