Yes there is no allowance to change the battery in stock class. Has to be OEM type. Same weight, CCA etc....

LOL!!! I had the same thoughts on a lightweight battery! Too bad they aren't Stock legal!
As for wires, I think you're right...a dyno is prolly the only way to be sure. However, with the OEM dizzy, I doubt there'd be much of gain for Magnacore, or any other, wires.
Howeva...
Notice I said, "much." With the sport timed to 1/1000th of a second, ANY gain could make a difference in finishing order. 
I run MSD Superconductors and will be going to Iridium plugs. A waste of money? Perhaps on a dyno chart. But, I think it ensures you get all what the OEM ignition can do.
If it buys a few 1/1000ths, I think it's worth it.
