I've heard this from a couple of different places, but I haven't had anyone explain to me how it works. Is there anyone who understands it who can explain this to me?

Probably meaning that there are 3 settings on some sway bars. On my Comptech bar for the 00 Civic Si I had you could put it on soft (outer one), middle, (middle hole) or the hard (inner hole).

If you mean hollow bar there's alot of debate in that issue I mentioned above.

I probably should have been more specific. I was told that drilling a hole in a swaybar would make it stiffer. Someone else theorized that this meant relocating the endlink mounting points, but I don't think that was what the couple of people I heard about it from were talking about.

I found out from the person who posted about it on another forum that he meant drilling a hole further in from the end of the bar to relocate the endlink mounting point.

Personally I do not think that is a good idea to add your own hole to a sway bar. I would think the company did the testing with the holes already. Adding another would upset the integrity of the bar. The bar could snap under load.

I don't think I'm going to. I'm not too comfortable with it either. I'll probably just throw some polyurethane bushings in there. I haven't been able to find JUST the front bar for my Si. They only seem to come with the rear or the rear by itself.

Hmmmm...not a bad idea at all. I could probably sell the rear for more than half of what the package cost, too.
