Today dropped off my car at my sponsor's shop to get some things worked on (finally) on my car. For those who do not know my car right now has 212k miles on the poor thing. Previous owners I do not know what they did to her, but she has slowly been getting better.
Today had a B&M short shifter put in along with some Prothane polyurethane motor mount bushings installed. Also found out why my coolant was dropping a whole lot too and why I would have 1-2 drops of oil on my garage floor.
Took the car out from the shop and wow. Totally different car. While the car feels more solid especially around corners, the vibration from the engine is a bit much. And I decided to put in the street bushings and left out the race bushings.
B&M short shifter - eh. Not as nice as the Skunk2 double bend I had in the 00 Civic Si or the 91 Civic Si. Moved the shifter really far forward.
As for my coolant problem I had a crack on the upper hose attachment on the radiator itself. Which is why my overflow tank stayed the same but I had to refill the radiator every week or so.
As for my oil leak which is only a drop a day or so is from the main seals and the oil pain seal going bad. I knew the oil pan was going bad as you can see it from under the car, but didn't know about the main seal. So I am in the process of finding a new D16Z so if you know anyone selling one with low miles please let me know
