Sucks for consumer cross border shopping, but it benefits Ontario exports and may be the one saving grace for the auto mfr industry in this province.

I just bought a house in USD, down payment in CDN. Need to return to Canada to change it over and haven't been in Toronto in a while..
Yeah this sucks. Was hoping it would stabilize a little at the very least.

It's great in my business. We sell mostly to U.S. so our profits are going up without even selling more. That's also because we pay in CDN $, myself included.

However, my bonus goes up profits as well.

Also, if you're an app maker, you usually sell on the various App stores in USD. So you're making bank, in CDN $.

Just stay away from buying stuff from the US. Suprisingly, my new car didn't go up in price when the dollar dropped.

don't forget our gas is taxed twice + all the other surcharges. the liberals slapped another 13% on top of the GST (and PST?) already included a few years back.

gas should be cheaper but as usual we're getting fucked.
it's cause the cdn$ is so low. if it were closer to par gas would prob be 0.69

Gas was 2.99 in Miami 2 weeks ago and wow, never knew how much I would love the V6 Ecoboost in the Expedition EL. And that cargo space... wow, can't wait to trade my tiny ML for an extended length SUV... fuck playing tetris in the back of the car.
