here's the deal, this year i want to use a foam gun to detail cars, but i don't have a pressure washer. i also don't feel like spending $150 just to throw soap on the car lol all i need is some small cheap shit simonize canadian tire special

anyone got one kicking around? i'll be happy to trade a full detail for it

How about a foam gun instead of a foam canon (which requires a pressure washer)? Does the difference warrant getting a pressure washer?

yeah i've been researching the differences, if i'm going to buy one id rahter the foam canon because it gets into all the crevices (see bmw kidney grills) which means i don't have to sit there and clean them by hand. also the foam canon doesn't waste as much product as the foam gun.

do foam gun or canons really take away the work of "washing" your car?

spray on, wash off with hose?

I'm failing to see it take off caked on dirt or mud.

All I know is those plug-in ones really suck.

I used a gas-powered one to strip all the undercoating and rustproofing off my car last year and it was night and day.

Not at all. You spray on, let it dwell, spray off, spray back on, wash, etc. The point of it is to get as much dirt off the car as possible so your not rubbing it into the paint as you wash.
