That's sales activity, not price.
Speaking of which, I threw the idea of listing my house next May, this resulted in a huge fight at home, guess no get-rich-quick-scheme for me.

I'd be ok living in an apartment for 8 bills a month. I don't need a house.

ahh married life, welcome to compromise. Ain't that the fucking truth! I'm sick of living in a townhouse and would like to move out of the neighbourhood to get something that I would like and can afford. I would compromise location (to an extent) to give me what I want in a house. Wife on the other hand loves the general area and wants to stay, fine by me but to give me what I want in our next house would be atleast $800k here. First kid is in school too which adds to us sticking around. I'm going to be stuck here forever.

That's sales activity, not price. a drop in sales always precedes the correction. gnsp

I'm looking now - sales are starting to slow and prices are starting to drop. Slowly but on the impressive houses (fully done an reno'ed already) they still sell in a few days.

I'd be ok living in an apartment for 8 bills a month. I don't need a house. No you don't. Once you move to an apartment or condo, you will miss the basement (storage) and garage to work on your car. And you are a handy man, the house will keep you busy
He'll find a way to put a shed on the roof of the condo.

I'd be ok living in an apartment for 8 bills a month. I don't need a house. I thought that too, and I ended up spending $400/month more than that. At some point having $ in the bank isn't worth sanity or your wife's safety. Because really, what else would you spend it on?

Red brick can look good - needs to paint all of the trim and garage black though
