It's pretty fucked up down here, but not too crazy. Although on my drive from the Falls to St. Catharines there was one car behind me and no one ahead of me. Could have stayed home today, everyone is cancelling their appts and my parts drivers called in too.

Edit: Yay Boss just kicked me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...

I've been at the client site since 8am... GO train was fine. Took 5 mins longer as it went thru that new 'Danforth' GO stop, but otherwise right on time ...

Roads were slippery as hell, but were fresh pow... I was one of the first ones to leave in my area (no tire tracks) ... \:\( FML.

Hearing about tons of GO delays, cancellations, etc... Hope I can get home ok/on time... Looks like my driveway's totally covered again, after the 15-20 mins of shovelling I did this AM.

The roads were a ghost town coming home. Saw maybe 7 cars between St. Cath and the Falls.

It's probably going to be too much for my little snowblower.

Goodnight sweet back \:\(

Edit: Somehow I left my heavy jacket in the garage last time, so it's pretty damn cold. Tossed it in the dryer for 10 minutes before heading out. GD I'm soft \:\( \:\(

made it into work, only took an extra 15 minutes vs normal. Made it onto the highway in front of the plows, so that helped. None of the appointments showed up and quite a few ppl called in sick.

I shovelled before I Went to bed last night and hoping my life wouldn't be hell this morning. Wrong!
Came out around 7:45am to shovel, did a lot but the entire street was not plowed. 3 cars drove by and was stuck (snow was as high as the front bumper). Took a break after 1.5 hour and went inside for breakfast. After breakfast I came back out to do more shovelling. The wagon managed to get stuck on my street, my dad took my mom's Caravan and he was fine. I took my usual route to go to work, took an extra 5 minutes but the highway was empty.

I really miss my STi in snow day like today. \:\(

I saw on CP24 that the winter will last another 6 weeks then early spring should start. I hope the groundhog is right.

I am not in love with winter and snow. I want T-shirt and shorts weather like now

I decided to come in because I wanted to have my laptop anyways and i left it docked for updates over the weekend.

AWD and the winters made it easy but there is a lot of snow out there for sure. Cold as hell too.

Winter sucks.

If it was summer Id cruise in sunroof open, windows open have lunch on a patio maybe some beers I a patio after work. Instead it's this crap.

Did the inlaws house. Drive to whitby, dug my own driveway. Now painting.

Amazing the amount of ppl who have no clue on what to do in situations when either end lose grip.

wellllllllll, until car control schooling becomes a part of license testing, I'm not sure that your observation is actually "amazing" XD

IE: i do not expect my grandma to catch a power induced slide (assuming rwd), module the throttle + countersteer to save her bacon. I fully expect her to panic, abruptly cut any pedal input...or even slam on the brakes with no change in steering angle XD

Exactly what happens. Or when front end lose grip, add more steering angle

HAHAHAHAHA YES!!!!!! proceeded by mild tank slapper once the car slips from snow onto exposed tarmac + the tires catch at the new angle XD

Woke up at 5am to shovel driveway. But the unplowed street was too much for the STi even with winters on. So... Working from home it is
