What a disaster.

I recently bought a new dishwasher on boxing day, my current one is from the 80's and works like a boss, what energy star l e l. Told my wife, not replacing it until it dies, meaning I might have to rock this turd for a while and the other thing will sit in the box unpacked \:\|

I can't come to terms with paying for appliances, especially at the current prices precisely because of this bullshit. If I could get a proper 20 year fridge for 5k, I will drop 5k, NP, but everything out there is garbage, 3k, 4k, same old 5 year lifecycle on a piece of shit that will end up getting tossed. wow computer this, such crisper, more ice, many compartments, l el, wow, wut, k3k, amaze, buy, lavish.

^yeah I hope we get at least 10yrs out of the fridge, but that's wishful thinking me thinks too lol. We have a samsung DW (top of the line POS). Bought just because it was a good deal, but man it's a POS compared to the whirlpool we had in the condo. I have had to remove the DW twice now to clean a fucking fill level switch (on the side of the washer on the outside). What a fucking turd it is, should have just splurge for the GE cafe DW instead of this korean POS.

the dishwasher at my place may sound like a 747 taking off in my bedroom. But that shit is a tank and will not die.

Our Samsung fill level switch broke after 1.2 years too.
Paid $100 to call the repair man to diagnosis.
The part was like $50 and $130ish labour.
They wouldn't just sell the part, so got rid of the dishwasher.

I didn't know you could just clean it at that time.
Either way, the current washer works fine without having to clean anything.

They probably makes the best looking machines though.

I gotta say I love my Miele dishwasher and fridge. Living in this shoebox where my livingroom is my kitchen which is basically my bedroom I love how quiet these are.

Yup the switch can be cleaned. It's a pos since it gets gunked up by grease and it stops working.

I gave that washer to my buddy who had a family in Samsung HQ.
They fixed it for free.
The repair man advised to run the hot water until you can actually feel the warmth. I think it will reduce the gunk in that filler.
It actually tells you to do so in the manual. We've never done it.

Does it have a delay start feature too?

Yup, cheaper for the hot water tank to heat that water then the dishwasher.

Your house will be fine.
The water leak from the fridge and Dishwasher will put out the fire caught from W/D.

I wouldn't touch a Samsung rang with a 10ft pole. Only reason why we even have Samsung is because the wife fell in love with the 4 door fridge and got a deal on it.

By the time you run the water, would 1/2 the dishes be done?
