supposed to happen in the coming years. in the meantime insurance is jacking peoples insurance by about 15% so when they do implement the "reduction" its back down to wtf it was at before.

hypeR ins went down to $136/mnth from $164/mnth, not bad. not sure if that's from teh Gov promise or from the company itself (ie. the car just past 15yrs old, etc. so it dropped rate automatically??). TDMM group.

Sounds about right.

I mean, Im still only paying $130'someting a month, but I dont think Ive ever seen any kind of reduction. Multi-car, house, school and work discounts... Id hate to see what Id be paying without all that.

I'm also up ten bucks a month. Just like OP, no tickets and no claims.... So backwards... I pay almost twice the value of my car power year... I'm sure it's because it's a civic.

•Transforming the Dispute Resolution System to help injured Ontario drivers settle disputed claims faster. Moving administration of the system from the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) to the Ministry of the Attorney General's Licence Appeal Tribunal would help cut down on consumer frustration as well as curb financial and administrative stress on the system, which can increase costs and cause rates to go up.
•Establishing a transition strategy for the licensing of health service providers that bill auto insurers so that only licensed providers can get paid directly by insurers.
•Reducing the amount of time a vehicle can be stored, accruing charges, after an accident without notice to the driver from 60 days to a shorter timeframe.
•Exploring the establishment of a special investigation and prosecution unit on serious fraud, including auto insurance fraud.

To get some of the cheapest university education in Canada, to get $7/day subsidized daycare. There are benefits, but then you'd have to put up with Marois

Try getting your kid in the $7 daycare before they're 10 years old.

After calling and bitching about my rates going up every year, they mysteriously "found" some discounts that werent on my policy before. Snows on both cars, immobilizers on both, one driven under 20 each way to work and another for my wife being a college prof part-time. Overall, both cars went down about $200 combined.

One huge increase I didnt really is my home insurance. Its almost doubled in the 4 years we have been in our current house. They said it was due to all the massive amount of flood claims in Hamilton and in my area and that because the replacement value of the house has gone up quite alot.
