I'm a pretty open minded guy I think.
So some of you know about my car getting hit, and all the reno's before I can sell the condo, and the divorce, etc. Well mom died too last week, what a ride that's been since there's been no documentation, no access to the home, unnamed children are listed as the executors, etc. Memorial is tonight, all planned by me, 3000 minutes talk time in 2 weeks fighting for rights. Anyway, so my sister is coming with her partner. When I met him, he's a tall fat truck driving guy. Pretty rugged, married to another woman. At my wedding they were fooling around and he was only supposed to be her ride because she didn't have a car. Now they have a kid together.
He now is a "woman", who identifies as Annette, which happens to be our step mom's name. My sister is ok with this.
FUCK. SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!

OMFG. dude PLEASE dont lay down on the 401. If you need to grab a coffee or something let one of us know. what a ride you are on right now So sorry to hear. talk about when it rains, it pours. Having experienced losing a parent and planing all that stuff, its not easy task to deal with on its own...but with that other shit on top of it. wow . just try to keep a positive outlook that things will smooth out eventually. I would just try to roll with the punches re:manwoman and not worry about that aspect right now. Your sister just lost her mom too.
same position as the kid here. its tough to lose a parent. my condolences.
if the your sister is happy then let it be. be there for her just as you would if he stayed a man.
there will always be gawkers and people spreading gossip. the people you will want to keep in your life will be accepting.

Thanks guys. I've got lots of support, no problem. What I'd need if I had 20 mins to myself is a port in a storm.  The thing with my sister is complicated, you can see she's not happy (the way they snap at each other in front of family they've never met) but there's no talking to her, no point, not receptive. It's unfortunate because in her 20's she made good money and was in TO, and now you can just smell the welfare dripping from her pores. Like she's trapped.
A meet is long overdue however. Why not Pho? We all have enough money to go inside now and let's not fool ourselves this isn't a car meat.
