Ours was just over $300 for 3 months, trying to see if prices have gone up allot or its an error. We have all CFL in the house, lights on timers and no real energy hogs so I find this rather high.

yup, hydro rates are going up, and they changed the billing cycle from 3 months to 2 months, so that people don't riot, because they don't see how much it went up by.
All my lights are CCFL,laundry/dishwasher at night (no time of use yet though) powerbars for HT are off unless in use, but since wife works from home, and I do sometimes, its inevitably going to be higher.

According to my bill, my actual usage cost $26.76. Add the Delivery and other BS service charges plus the tax, its $63... wtf.

Same here. Last bill was $75. $25 actual hydro usage, the rest was delivery, hst, debt recovery fee. My gas, water, sewer, water heater rental is never more then $100 combined.

they have for sure gone up.
our latest is 2xx for 2 months and this is a townhouse(in the middle)

my moms summer bill was astronomical.


if you have a smart meter try to use off peak and itll save.

Mine went from 90->100->110->320->140 Apr->Jun->Aug->Oct->Dec. According to hydro they did not charge enough for June/July (110) so they upped it to 320 to cover missed usage the next bill.

This is for a 1500sqft Townhouse w/CFL everywhere

Sneaky bastards, mine even goes so far as to have it from Sep 30-Dec 1. On quick glance you would think it's 3 months.
