Has anyone noticed the viral appearance of Canada Goose jackets?
I see groups of three people all wearing them and wonder whether they have any personal sense of style, cause it sure doesn't look like it when they look like lemmings (same goes with the group of 5 chicks wearing Uggs.)
An this is ALL OVER THE PLACE!

They are great jackets, I wanted one, but after seeing the amount of people with them I just went with Hugo Boss. Fuck that shit (they are warm though) but it's just another expensive trend.

My Mountain Equipment Coop jacket is warm too... I think I'll stick with it.
I admit the Canada Goose jackets look great, and the first few I saw I thought I might like one. But then I saw all these people with them.
Fuck, I was at Fallsview the other night and saw 3 dudes walking... all with that damn jacket on, just different colours) and I wanted to go up to them and say "really? like, fucking REALLY???"

I thought it was just Woodbridge doods' trend.
I knew a guy who tried to buy a bulk to sell but when he went to pick them up, he noticed it was spelled, Kanada Goose.

I have the super popular bomber jacket unfortunately.
I bought it 5 winters ago though. I had never seen one, a cousin who ice fishes recommended it, had to go to a Hunting/Fishing Store to find one. It was only $300 back then... Which was at the upper limits of what I would spend on a winter jacket.. But since I hate the cold I grabbed it.

Fast forward a couple of years and the brand EXPLODED,Can't believe so many pay 5-600 for one. Right now they are really overplayed..... It's not good when you see groups wearing the same coats..

At least my colour brown doesn't seem to be as common for this year.. but I avoid wearing it to the mall, it's far to warm for that anyways.

As for quality. It's not bad. Feathers stay inside the jacket. Ive had two or three come out in years. The cuffs fell apart because they stick to the velcro pocket flap, and they repaired it this past summer free.

Though the fabric is developing small holes just above the cuff, where it rubs on things and on your side while walking.. They didn't repair that...

The company isnt going anywhere as they have been supplying workers in the true north with this survival gear for decades now. But I'll be glad when styles change and people will be embarrassed to wear them and demote them to snow shoveling duty.

If you're a rugged outdoors man you'd say its overkill for Toronto. But otherwise its fine, other than the fact that every trend following asshole has one.

This. They started getting very popular about two years ago... I've wanted one for a while, but now I refuse to buy one lol

A buddy with York Region police say they have found store backrooms full of fakes of those jackets.

I guess if you're looking for the style without the quality or warmth...

My favorite jacket. They used to be so much cheaper but are now played out. Shame too but it's the only article of clothing I have ever owned that has appreciated; 7 years old and still going strong!

My parents just bought me one for my birthday/xmas present. I told them I didnt want one as I was fine with my $30 H&M jackets. They went and got me one anyways. I feel bad since I hardly wear it, plus I hate parkas. I feel like the bloody michelin man wearing a big ass jacket.

Sure they are played out, but so are chucks, vans, uggs and tna jackets (for girls) I dont see as much hate towards those other things though, not as much as CG.

Whenever I see these jackets and that emblem on the sleeve, I always think they are employees of the Santa Claus Parade.

I can't justify paying $600 for ONE jacket.

I'd rather get 1 leather winter jacket, 1 skiing jacket, and another jacket for that same price.

Haha @ Kanada Goose.

Uggs are still currently higher on my rolleyes list than Canada Goose.
In the endm it's not the jacket or the boots for me... it's the lemmings who wear them (not all are lemmings, but you can sorta tell who is lol)

LOLerrss @ Kanada Goose

I've resisted for 3 yrs buying one.....couldn't help it anymore as I wanted something warm that was quality without the North Face price tag. (IMO, CG looks better don't like the quilt look :P)

Got a CG that is "differen't" from the trend and bought my wife one for xmas (she walks 40mins to go home)

Chilliwhacks are gay...and are especially gay when a guy is wearing one!

Because the wifes CG is not the typical Chilliwhack that everyone and their moms are wearing, she's actually had someone stop her to ask which model and where did she get it

I hope the CG fad dies next year.

I got one this year because I walk 20 minutes each way to and from work, stand at the Go train platform for the train to come and sit in the car at the Go train parking lot going home. Sometimes I do the walk 2x because I go out for lunch. (my way to justify getting a poser jacket. lol)

I don't have the Chilliwanker and managed to swing 15% off because I used to work at a store that sells AUTHENTIC jackets so its NOT as bad.

CN: I am outside and in the cold and I need a warm jacket.

No doubt its warm. I hate wearing any thick ass jacket when its freezing out and having to go indoors when they crank the heater like a sauna. I end up sweating like a pig and looking like michelin man with a big old jacket. Its a good jacket if you walk outside alot and take the GO. I drive everywhere so I have totally no need for it.
