Still going to be pricey if you are changing it in your garage, all depends on the oil..

Its all good...brought it to Uptown Audi in Markham. They've been pretty good so far. They even threw in those tote bags for the summers I took off. Small price for them to pay but whatever....

how much do they charge? also, isn't an oil change on an audi like once every 12k to 24k km? (similar to bmw) ... so divide that up by 2 to 4 times, it's just a bit more than a typical honda?

jesus, i can only imagine how much the dealers charge for oil changes on an S4... try this place - http://www.independenttuning.ca/ - they're pretty good, and everyone on the audi board swears by him...his shop is also one of the cleanest places outside of an operating room...he charges $135 for a S4 oil change.

I wouldn't waste my time changing my own oil if I lived in a condo either, fuck that.
If I'm ever in a pinch, I'll buy the oil and go to a local QLube and get them to change it..
However, I usually stand over the car because the last time the dude almost put the oil filter in upside down.. Even though on the TDI it's stamped in big letters... THIS SIDE UP..

I go to iGarage and pay $70 for Royal Purple in the TL. Do you use your TL on the race track? I wouldn't use Royal Purple unless you change your gear at 6000 RPM every time. And it breaks down quickly. Absolutely not the right oil for a person who drives below the speed limit.
Yep sounds like a waste of money.
People underestimate a conventional oil's ability to protect and keep a motor healthy. If you aren't driving hard or arent pushing it well over the recommended intervals, you are simply pissing your money away..
I dont know what I would do if I lived in a Condo, probably do oil changes really fast when no one is likely to be in the garage, and wait for the chairman of the condo board to give me a warning.
As far as im concerned it takes just as long if not longer to go somewhere to get your oil changed. If its one of those quick lube places, you risk some retard getting paid minimum wage stripping your oil pan drain bolt threads. If you have to watch over him, why not just do it yourself, its about as simple as scratching your ass.
