I don't make 71k and I have housing expenses on top of that. As long as I can bring hoes home and I get a discount on rogers products, I am in. \:D

as the article said..the pay is considered low for a butler...
but i think i would do it...
how hard is it to drive around in an s class and pick up booze from summerhill and shop at pusateris.

all i have to do is pack the suitcase, some jerk off will be doing the laundry and folding....i wonder what the benefit package is like...pension, rrsp match, health&dental....

if you do a good enough job, get youself worked into the will and you're SET

Sounds like a decent gig, but really as a butler, what do you do with your money? You live in the house of the people you serve, you don't have your own space to do what you want. You can't just go chill in the home theatre and watch movies with some bitches you bring back, you can't buy a sweet car and work on it in their garage, you make good money but it's like you are tied down, unless you live in a guest house.

i'm sure you get the standard 2 weeks off...and on those 2 weeks off, you blow the fuck out of that money. cuz it's not like you have to pay for a house and what not.

i'd take that money, buy a place, rents it out and start my empire

I worked construction and catered mostly to the Forest Hill/Rosedale crowd. These people generally don't spend a lot of time in these homes since they have places all over the world/country. I'd say when we worked there I'd see the people pretty rarely and the philipina nannies would just chill in there all day every day like it's no one's biz.

There are times they would leave simply because of the construction, but even during small jobs the people were rarely home.

Having said that, I'd do that job in a heart beat and do day trading or something else on the side.

People forget how ANAL rich people can be with their shit ... I want my socks rolled, not folded, not in a ball, not inside the shoe.

I want my ties rolled, not folded, and kept inside the shoe so they stay fresh. etc....

Sometimes you can just pass the analness buck to the next person, othertimes the buck stops at your foot.

Not worth it IMO, unless you lived like this dude did. No fancy degrading butler outfits, and he called a lot of shots...

Also, "on demand" means this is a 24 / 7 job and you have to do *everything* right away (there's no "in a minute" even if you're already knee deep in shit). Not worth it IMO.

you're not doing this for free room and board, you're getting paid 71k to do it...like we are at our job, it WILL be demanding, and that's why they're paying you a decent amount of money to do such "remedial" job

+1

Stupid tools! Like my district manager who makes less then $71k and works like a fucking dog. One time he had to call me 430am because my store alarm was going off and the alarm company couldn't get a hold of me (I sleep fucking good!) and he ended up calling me for a good 20mins before my wife woke up and answered...LMAO!

He was actually willing to drive to my store to check it out himself. I told him it's alright, I'll do it. (inventory = my $) But if I was corporate I would have told him sure!
