So for those of you who don't have a winter beater and drive the same car year round (like me) how do you care for your car in the winter? I just waxed earlier this week since I figured it was probably the last chance where the weather was warm enough for a long time. My typical Civic rust is getting pretty bad and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to slow it down or keep it from getting twice as bad this winter once it snows and the roads are all salty.

Not a whole lot you can do about the rust unless you repair it and paint it. I supposed shooting paint or primer on it might slow it down a bit w/o fixing it. For my maxima I just wax it in the fall and throw two concrete beams in the trunk for additional weight for traction. But that about as much as i do for my daily driver.

yea for the rust i would just cut it all out if its really bad, or just wirewheel it if its not perforated and throw some rust converter +primer on it for the winter.

I think you can get automotive paint matched you your car in a bug bomb (spray can) from finishmaster if you need a small area painted and you don;t care that its not professional.
