I doubt Hmotors online would be able to help you. Have you checked your local junkyards? You might, and I stress the word might on a 20 year old car, be able to find a running engine if you can find one that has been recently wrecked. Otherwise you are probably going to only find engines that have been sitting up for 10+ years and are either locked down, or didn't run when the car was parked for various reasons. Your best bet may be to search your local paper for a cheap, beat up but running 85-87 Crx Si, or 86-87 Civic Si, and use it as a donor car. Given the limited model years and cars that engine was in, you may have to search multiple locations in several states.

Try http://www.d-series.org for anyone selling some old D motors. Maybe craigslist too?

not sure how easy it would be, but i think someone has done it here on csi or on HT...

you have a whole lot of options... the easiest thing to do i suppose is just call a dismantler(sp?) near you and see if they have your engine sitting around...

I had a 87 crx Si for about a year. Pretty fun little car really. I sold it probably a year ago for only $100 and its motor was running well. Needed some trans work though, but it was driveable.

Anyways, i'd check around for something like that that someone is selling & then pull the motor out of it & put it in yours.

Or swap in a browntop d16a1. Its a pretty straight foward swap that pretty much only requires parts from your car & the donor car. That engine is from an 86-87 Integra & is rated at 113hp. Not a ton of power, but its more then the 91hp in your Si, plus there is a little bit more aftermarket support for the d16a1. Plus its probably gonna be just about the same price as an Si motor anyways.

check out redpepperracing.com for more info on 1g crx/3g civic.
