less than a month ago my car 99 civic coupe Ex died while i was driving. Would crank but not start up. I got it towed to Honda and honda diagnosed ($95 charge) and charged me 200 for a new ignition coil and install.
i went from my AEM CAI back to stock, and now my car seems to bog but not die when i'm driving up hill. I replaced the battery and spark plugs.
for example:
i'm driving up hill in 3rd (rpms is between 3000-4000). I then feel my car jitter (like hiccup) but not completely die as i'm driving up. i can tell based on the sound of my exhaust.
Whats the cause of this?? I dont want to take the car back to honda and have them charge me $95 for a diagnosis.

Hmmmmm, are you pulling a CEL or not? I don't really know what the cause could be, I assume in general it runs fine with no other symptoms? If I were you, I'd post this up on HT in the 92-00 Civic forum... There are a lot of people on there everyday...

already posted on HT... lol
called honda and they said it could be timing and they would charge $50 just to set it to factory specs.
then the guy said to go to shucks and get a new distributor.
talked to a friend and he recommended i just advance the timing and see if thatm makes it go away.
i just advanced it a bit (twisted the distributor counter clock wise a hair to the rear) We'll see how it goes in a couple days.
